Halloween 25 Years in Time for shall we say...Halloween

Halloween: 25 Years of Terror DVD release

I know, I know, you can never have enough Michael Myers and the Halloween film series. Well, as long as we can take enough pills and forget about Halloween 5 that is. Anchor Bay will do it again this July 25 with the release of the double disc set Halloween: 25 Years of Terror. This set contains everything you could ever want to know about the Halloween film series beyond the type of panties Jamie Lee Curtis was wearing on set (That would probably be a Troma version).

Here is a rundown on what the discs will contain:

Disc One

Full Frame presentation
Horror’s Hallowed Grounds-An exclusive tour of the series film locations
Halloween 2-3 Extended interviews
Celebrity interviews
(Said to include Clive Barker and Rob Zombie to name a couple of the 8)
Halloween 5 on set footage
Halloween con montage
Fans of Halloween-collection of props and memorabilia
Over 4 hours of footage

Disc Two

Halloween panel discussion
Halloween 2 panel discussion
Halloween 6 panel discussion
Ellie Cornell panel discussion
Michael Myers panel discussion
Dean Cundey panel discussion
Halloween producer’s panel discussion
Halloween location stills gallery
Halloween convention behind the scenes gallery
Original artwork gallery

The set is directed by UK filmmaker Stefan Hutchinson and Anthony Masi and I know you all care about that information. We even get series original P.J. Soles narrating but without her breasts showing. We can look forward to our age old series frustrations being addressed such as what happened with Halloween 3 and why the Myers mask sucks in the later films. It is stated to be an objective documentary that covers the series weak links. Did I mention Halloween 5 already and the afro Myers mask in Resurrection?

And if this is not enough Halloween to satiate your obsessive natures, the set even comes with a comic book called Halloween: Autopsis. Written by Hutchinson, the story revolves around a character that pretty much takes over Loomis’s crazed tracking of Myers. Not a bad plot. Too bad it wasn’t kept for Halloween 5.
