Halloween brings candy, costumes and a whole lot of scary. Nightmare Run 5K promises to be much more. Nightmare Run 5K isn’t just a race or a party, it’s an experience. In this family- friendly event participates are encouraged to run in their favorites costumes while being chased by zombies, monsters and ghouls. Costumes are not a requirement to attend or participate. After the run participants will join the after-party celebration featuring a live DJ spinning the latest music, dancing, a costume contest, give-away prizes, and much more. A portion of the proceeds raised from Nightmare Run 5K will be donated to American Red Cross Lake County Chapter. Nightmare Run 5K event will also take place in four other locations in October and November. Those locations are East Bay, Sacramento, Monterey, and San Jose on different dates.
